| How to install FHC when the computer is a member of a Domain server. |
|
We would recommend that you install the FHC program on to each computer which is attached to the network; you will need to have Administrator rights to do this. Once installed you will then have to register each copy of FHC by using the registration form. You can find this form by selecting the ‘Help' menu and then the ‘Register'.
Once installed switch the use and then check that FHC can still find the registration code you entered before, if it can you have completed the installation process. If it can not then you will have to renter the registration code; logoff and then logon again then recheck FHC. If FHC still asks for the registration code you will have to modify the users rights on the computer, we would recommend making then a ‘Power User'.
FHC can share common information such as Pipe data tables ‘PDT' and nozzle and pump data amongst network users. This is very useful in a drawing office as if different designers open FHC project files and run a calculation they will always get the same results. To enable this facility you need to do to copy the ‘PipeData' folder (which contains all the pipe data files) and the file ‘fhclast.txt to a network location. Then on each computer which uses FHC select the ‘Tools' menu and go to ‘Options'. Select the network location using the button provided. |
